Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques IPMMonitoring of cold chains by UHF RFID sensor tags
The EU funded project »Proactive Cold Chain« centers around technical solutions for monitoring and tracing the entire logistic cold chain. By combining RFID and GRPS/UMTS technologies, deficiencies in the cold chain are revealed so that measures to save the goods can be taken in time. In this project, Fraunhofer IPM accounts for the development of low-cost and ultra low-power UHF RFID tags with integrated sensor technology.
