The idea of Food Chain Management (FCM) comprises the whole food production chain – from initial food raw materials, to food processing, trade and the end consumer. Food safety and quality as well as traceability are the main aspects in this integrated process,
The project aims at developing a comprehensive information system which lives up to the demands of a best-practice food chain management by implementing innovative sensor systems for online monitoring during the entire food chain.
